We continue our spotlight of this month’s guru, Marianne Williamson, by focusing on the ideas behind her campaign to establish a U.S. Department Of Peace.

Unlike the Department of War, this department’s goal will be to manifest Peace by upleveling our country’s vibration of Peace. Reverend Michael Beckwith, a supporter of this growing campaign, says it best when he talks about the energy of manifesting your reality. Our country’s government puts a lot of energy (mental, financial and actual fuel) into “defense” and war. We see the results of this in decades of conflicts. According to the law of the universe, the energy of putting thought and resurces into the manifestation of peace should and must have the result of an ever-expanding ripple-effect of Peace throughout our country and the rest of the world.

In other words, the law of attraction shows us that we manifest what we visualize. This also works on the level of mass consciousness, with the results of our nation’s obsession with “defense” “war on terror” and other violence-grounded mantras coming to fruition. Do we feel safer? Or does the psychological environment seem even bleaker than before?

As Founder/Chair of the Peace Alliance, Williamson, below, shares the basic ideas behind a more enlightened approach to government, while Beckwith, also below, brings it to the level of metaphysics.
