Welcome, welcome, welcome to the May 3, 2008 edition of the Carnival of Healing, otherwise known as Carnival #136. Last week’s stop on this cyber carnival was over at The Reiki Digest and next week’s sojourn will be hosted by motivational coach Debra Moorhead. As always, blessings to the Carnival’s hard-working mistress of ceremonies Phylameana. This is A-ha! TV’s second time participating and it couldn’t have come at a better time for us.
You see, there is so much perceived turmoil on the planet right now, sometimes it’s easier to focus on it then, say, the corresponding spiritual expansion. Truth is bubbling out of the very ground we walk on, it radiates from the most unlikely places and continuously declares it will not be shut down. Even the very planet herself is a part of this conspiracy of enlightenment. When I heard the story of how a southern town decimated by storms took the opportunity to rebuild the entire town in a green fashion, it was clear crystal clear. The Earth will heal and She still offers us a choice. As Lexi Sundell will probably agree, we can either get with the program… or cease to exist. These choices are presenting themselves everyday in the form of ridiculous gas prices, rising food costs, conniving politicians, modern-day slavery and every other perceived disorder. I am grateful to be alive to see this crucial crossroads in human development… grateful for the insight on how to face perceived adversity with clarity.
So, with that said, let’s see what this week’s Carnival offers.
In the face of adversity, Jesse Roulette entertains the valid question with “What Is Motivation?” and Alex Blackwell offers pearls of wisdom from folks who have been there and done that.
Paul Piotrowski explores something we can all relate to, fear, in his “14 Most Common Fears in Life and What To Do About Them,” while Kathleen Gage sheds light on the role of spirituality in the workplace, and Jenn Givler talks about a specific fear, the fear of rejection, and how it can limit business opportunities.
Continuing with the answers to some of the questions a lot of folks are asking these days, Frederic Premji offers insight with “9 Effective Ways To Get Out Of A Rut” specially designed to get you back on track if you succumb to fear. Also designed to get you through the challenging times is Chris Edgar’s article on dealing with the past.
When dealing with the perceived challenges of these times, maintaining a high vibration for balanced health becomes even more important. Diana Bertoldo explores the health benefits of Deep Breathing, Master Carl Mills takes a break from Karate instruction for a quick meditation and Gia Combs-Ramirez tells you “How to Immediately Eliminate the Effects of Stress”… Sounds good to us!
Meanwhile, International House of Reiki offers a podcast that testifies to the power of reiki and Piotr Stepien also talks about the alternative healing power of reiki.
Alternative remedies are offered for addictions, caffeine addiction is explored, and clarification on Chinese Medicine is offered over at Jin Bu Huan’s informative blog. Natural treatments for specific conditions such as bladder infections, insomnia and Pancreatitis are offered, while Madeleine Begun Kane reminds us that laughter is sometimes the best medicine of all.
Finally, as we grapple with the ramifications of how we live on Mother Earth, Mark Schauss reminds us of the links between our man-made environment and it’s detrimental effect on our health, while Sara Ost strives to keep natural beauty at the forefront of our mass consciousness.
Well, that’s it for this week’s Carnival. I hope that like me you’ve gleaned truth, inspiration, knowledge, humor, enlightenment and/or assistance in the sites spotlighted above. Thanks for visiting and don’t forget to visit the blogs highlighted above and mention you saw them at Carnival of Healing #136.

Thank you for a wealth of positive information! I could’nt agree more that we seem to be bogged down sometimes as a society that focuses on the negative especially with all the horrific things we see in the news. However, we are all beacons of light, and we are here to lift each other up to be all that we divinely are. Thanks for reminding me once again!
